The Canadian Advisory & Operations Team
This is an entirely volunteer team who has made a long term commitment to the children at Nikibasika. This team oversees the implementation of all elements of the Nikibasika program, including but not limited to working with our partners, developing policies and procedures for the project, managing the budget and fundraising, and developing the long term leadership projects and scholarship programs for the children. This volunteer team works on special projects and fundraising initiatives that allow the entire project to be whole and to operate at full potential.
Two significant partnerships have allowed us the opportunity to operate successfully
Canadian African Community Health Alliance (CACHA)
CACHA is our Canadian partner. Nikibasika has become a project of CACHA and this allows us to access their knowledge and understanding of Uganda and how things work in Uganda. In addition, they are our financial partner and make it possible for us to issue tax deductible receipts for all donations that are made to Nikibasika.
Reach The Youth (RTY)
Reach The Youth is our Ugandan partner. The RTY team has been instrumental in helping us organize our structure and team on the ground in Kasese, Uganda. They help with managing the finances sent monthly to the Nikibasika as well as checking in on full time staff, ensuring the children are healthy and happy and making recommendations for the Advisory Board to consider based on their knowledge of the situation and the environment.

Brendan Wood International
Brendan Wood International has supported the Nikibasika project with significant donations through their Lazarus Partners Initiative. They have single handedly supported over 30% of the operating budget for the children’s needs over the past 4 years. The firm has gone above and beyond to support the children especially in the hours of their greatest need and we are proud to have them as a key partner in this work. The firm also provides funding for other key projects doing important work around the globe. We are most grateful for their support!
